An elegant Napoleon III-style side cabinet in precious veneers and polychrome marquetry, opening by means of a central door concealing an interior storage compartment.

The façade is adorned with a remarkable marquetry panel depicting a flower-filled vase, composed of multiple finely cut wood species.

The decoration is framed by a rich gilt bronze beaded moulding and highlighted by a herringbone banding.

The uprights are embellished with gilt bronze drops featuring female caryatid motifs, terminating in bronze sabots.

The apron features an upper drawer with scrolling foliate marquetry, fitted with bronze swing handles.

The whole is surmounted by an elegant moulded rouge griotte marble top, perfectly complementing the richness of the veneered woods.

A high-quality French piece dating from the second half of the 19th century, characteristic of Napoleon III reception furniture.
