Small Louis XVI mahogany chest of drawers with maker's stamp

Small Louis XVI commode in mahogany and mahogany veneer, late 18th century, opening at the front with three drawers fitted with drop handles, of compact dimensions. The top is a grey veined marble with a cavetto edge; please note an old restoration to the marble that is difficult to detect in the photographs. The front uprights are rounded and fluted, and the marble follows the same movement with rounded corners. The piece rests on four gaine legs ending in sabots. This commode bears a maker's stamp: F.Pignot. It has been re-varnished and is in very good original condition. Please note: keys are absent.
