The ensemble presents a traditional structure comprising a substantial solid wood yoke fitted with its forged iron fittings and rope-pull mechanism. The bell retains its original interior clapper.

This piece most likely originated from a private chapel, a rural estate, or a farm, where it would have been used to mark working hours or call labourers.

The ensemble has a very strong decorative presence and a remarkable aged patina.
