NAPOLEON III PERIOD JARDINIERE

Rare NAPOLEON III planter in Boulle marquetry resting on 4 curved legs. Its superb marquetry in brass and red tortoiseshell is richly framed with bronzes: nets, moldings, gallery on the top and caryatids on the curves of the feet which end with hooves. Perfectly restored, it was varnished with the tampon after removal and cleaning of the bronzes.
Period: mid 19th century.
