Authentic Persian rug originating from the city of Moud (Iran), entirely hand-knotted.
Dimensions: 126 x 187 cm.
Central "Mahi" (Herati) design on an ivory ground, adorned with a superb star-shaped central medallion in black/brown. Rare presence of figurative motifs featuring exotic birds and flower-filled vases in the spandrels. A wide terracotta/rust border perfectly frames the whole composition.
Materials: High-quality wool pile with silk details to enhance the brilliance of the motifs, on a cotton foundation. Please note: the fringes have been trimmed.
