Description

Small English-style flat-top desk in mahogany and mahogany veneer, making a striking impression through the warmth of its wood and the elegance of its lines. The apron is accented with light wood stringing that delicately outlines the form of the piece and highlights the refinement of its marquetry work. It opens by means of two drawers, each fitted with a lock and a beautifully chiselled key, reflecting the particular attention paid to every detail. The drop handles in bronze, with their harmonious curve, add an extra touch of refinement and echo the hallmarks of traditional English desk-making.
The desk is fitted with a magnificent black leather writing surface, centred with a delicate arabesque motif and subtly framed by a gilt tooled border and a blind-tooled border that together enhance its elegance.
The whole piece rests on graceful tapering gaine legs, slender and subtly decorated, lending the desk a balanced and refined silhouette.
At once understated and distinguished, this desk embodies fine craftsmanship and integrates naturally into both classical and contemporary interiors.
