Walnut Salon Cabinet, Empire Style – Second Half of the 19th Century

This Empire-style walnut salon cabinet stands out for its refined elegance and its superb grey marble top, which underscores the nobility of its lines. It features six drawers, including one subtly concealed within the apron, as well as two drawers fitted with working locks, attesting to the care taken in its design. Each drawer is adorned with two chiselled pull handles, whose delicate metalwork enhances the imperial aesthetic. The façade is punctuated by two elegant columns, enriched with bronze collars at the top and bottom, lending an architectural presence and an additional touch of prestige. The whole forms a harmonious piece in which the warmth of the walnut, the minerality of the marble and the brilliance of the bronze combine to offer an authentic, balanced and distinctly elegant work.
