An elegant Louis XV-style two-body buffet in solid walnut, featuring fine proportions and finely carved decoration. This regional 19th-century piece captivates with its harmonious lines, shaped doors and delicate carvings of rinceaux, foliage and shells, all characteristic of the Louis XV style.

The upper section opens via a door concealing an enclosed storage space. At the centre, an open niche fitted with two shelves and a plate rack allows for the display of tableware or collectibles. The lower section comprises a frieze drawer above a door providing ample storage space. The whole rests on cabriole legs ending in restrained scrolled feet.

The aged patina enhances the warmth of the walnut and underscores the quality of the craftsmanship. The hardware is period and in keeping with the age of the piece.

The buffet is in good overall condition, with the traces of use and patina to be expected of a piece of furniture over two centuries old. It is sound, stable and ready to install.
