Large ceramic wall plate with raised relief decoration – Lion attacking an ostrich
Important enamelled ceramic wall plate with fully modelled high-relief decoration depicting a lion overpowering an ostrich in an exotic landscape composed of palm trees and lush vegetation.

The highly sculptural treatment of the decoration, combined with a polychrome palette of nuanced enamels, gives this piece a remarkable sense of depth. The reverse is fitted with two hanging attachments for wall display.

Decorative work from the second half of the 20th century, of fine quality of execution, reminiscent of certain French or Italian productions intended for interior decoration.

Very strong decorative presence.

Condition: very good overall condition, a few light traces of use with no impact on presentation.
