A very fine Art Deco desk or smoker's set in glazed ceramic, comprising a lamp, a vase, two jardinieres or cache-pots, a pyramidal inkwell, a pyramidal lid and a vide-poche.

The set features a spectacular mustard-yellow crackle-glaze highlighted with green tones, contrasting with black borders and bases.

The geometric forms — notably the stepped pyramids inspired by ancient Egypt — are fully expressive of the Art Deco taste of the 1925–1935 period.

The lamp retains its original antique electrical fitting.

Several pieces bear a moulded or incised signature under the base, which has not yet been attributed with certainty.

This rare decorative set is a compelling example of French decorative ceramics from the interwar period, comparable to the work of Primavera, Kéramis or certain regional workshops influenced by the Art Deco movement.

Circa 1925–1935.

Condition

Good overall presentational condition.

Some chips, wear, minor losses of glaze and traces of use visible.

Electrical wiring is antique and should be inspected before use.
