Small Demi-Lune Console Table, Louis XVI – Directoire Period

Small demi-lune console table, Louis XVI – Directoire period, 18th century. In gilt and carved wood, of demi-lune form, with a rounded apron decorated with pierced foliage, rinceaux and a frieze. On each side, a rosette supporting the legs. Fluted and reeded uprights with arrow decoration. Fluted legs joined by a concave-shaped stretcher, carved and centred with a pot à feux entwined with a ribbon-tied garland of flowers. White Carrara marble top. Please note that the marble top was replaced in the 19th century.
