Small Oak Bureau Table, Louis XIV style – 2nd half of the 19th century

This small oak writing table, crafted in the second half of the 19th century, elegantly reinterprets the lines of the Louis XIV style. Its rectangular top, edged with a reverse quarter-round moulding, rests on four turned legs joined by an H-shaped stretcher that lends the piece both stability and elegance. The solid oak, with its warm patina, displays a harmonious grain and a fine depth of tone.
The table is fitted with a single central drawer set within the apron — discreet and functional — and retaining its original knob. Its well-balanced proportions make it easy to place in a variety of settings, whether as a small writing desk, side table or refined console.
