She started at the age of 16 at the Salon of French Artists in Paris where she never ceased to expose (gold medal in 1891 and 1937). She was also president of the Society of Women Painters and Sculptors, and president of the Society of Miniaturists and Precious Arts. She was a teacher of drawing schools in the City of Paris. She formed many pupils, French, American, Swedish. In 1903, she published a Treatise of the Thumbnail who made authority.
