Magnificent Napoléon III solid walnut dining table, dating from the late 19th century.
The table features a superb oval top crafted in beautifully figured walnut with warm, elegant grain. The edge of the top is dressed with mouldings and stringing that harmoniously accentuate its form.
The richly carved base is particularly remarkable, with four cabriole legs adorned with foliate decoration and finished with fine scroll feet, united by an elegantly carved central stretcher.
A table of exceptional decorative character, wholly typical of Napoléon III furniture, that will make a commanding presence in any dining room.
Fully restored in our workshop by a cabinetmaker who has held a diploma from the École Boulle for 33 years.
It comes with five leaves of 129 cm × 60 cm, giving a total extended length of 4.30 m.
