Small walnut bonnetière

Small Louis XV-style walnut armoire – 18th / 19th century
Elegant small antique walnut armoire, narrow and vertical in format, opening by a single moulded-panel door.

The façade features restrained shaped scrollwork, enhanced in its upper section by a carved volute motif. The door is fitted with a fine metal escutcheon with decorative detailing, adding an extra ornamental note to the piece.

The projecting cornice, with its successive mouldings, pleasingly frames the upper section of the piece. The lower rail, shaped and animated, rests on four small feet; the front feet are cabriole in form and terminate in scroll endings, characteristic of the Louis XV spirit.

The interior, of particular interest, is fitted with three shelves.
