Large Tripod Coffee Pot, Paris First Rooster Hallmark, 1798–1809

Large and important solid silver tripod coffee pot with a lateral handle. The lid is bordered by a palmette frieze, its finial decorated with a row of small gadrooning, and the spout is ornamented with fluting. The handle is ebony.
Paris hallmarks, first rooster period (1798–1809), maître orfèvre Jean-Baptiste Simon Lefranc: hallmark struck 1798–1799.
