A charming Napoleon III period side display cabinet, crafted in flame mahogany and surmounted by an elegant veined white marble top. This refined piece is distinguished by the richness of its crossbanded veneer, its finely chiselled gilt bronze mounts, and its shapely curved lines characteristic of the second half of the 19th century.

The façade opens by two glazed doors framed by gilt bronze mouldings of animated form. The sides are also glazed, flooding the interior with light and allowing for an elegant presentation of porcelain, glassware, objets d'art or collections. The interior is lined with antique pink damask fabric and fitted with two glass shelves.

The stiles are adorned with gilt bronze foliate and shell drop mounts, while the apron and feet are dressed with delicate gilt bronze garnitures. The handles and escutcheons are original.

The piece is in very good overall condition. A few light traces of time to the back and minor marks consistent with age and use are noted, with no impact on its presentation. The marble is in fine condition, with no significant damage.
