Small Louis XVI-style painted wood secretary, 19th century

Small secretary or child's secretary in cream-painted wood, 19th century.
The upper section opens with a drawer and a pull-out slide at the frieze.
At the centre, the fall-front reveals two drawers and a shelf.
The lower section opens via a door enclosing a shelf.
It rests on two tapered fluted legs at the front and two rectangular-section legs at the rear.
This secretary is adorned with painted decoration on its three faces in the Neoclassical taste of the Louis XVI style.
Garlands and bouquets of flowers, rinceaux, bows and ribbons are featured throughout.
The top is decorated with a cartouche containing an allegorical scene of the education of Achilles by the centaur Chiron.
The lower door is decorated with a medallion depicting Cupid.
