Description

This small Louis XVI-style salon guéridon, made in the early 20th century, is distinguished by the elegance of its silhouette and the refinement of its cabinetmaking. The top is crowned with a luminous, delicately veined Carrara white marble, enclosed by a pierced brass gallery that underscores the purity of the lines and echoes the decorative vocabulary of Neoclassicism.
The apron is dressed in a refined marquetry combining rosewood and kingwood, arranged in precise geometric patterns that bear witness to a masterful level of craftsmanship. A discreet drawer is set within it, opening by means of a small chiselled brass pull — a subtle detail that lends an air of refinement.
Resting on four tapering legs typical of the Louis XVI style, this guéridon is finished with brass sabots that provide both stability and elegance. The whole piece conveys an impression of lightness, balance and distinction, hallmarks of the finest early 20th-century productions inspired by the grand style.
Both decorative and functional, this small bouillotte table will find its place with ease in a classic or contemporary interior, bringing a note of timeless elegance and authentic charm.
