Elegant Louis XV-style walnut bureau plat, featuring beautiful sinuous lines and generous proportions. Crafted entirely in walnut, it showcases the quality of the wood, a warm patina, and the shaped curves characteristic of 18th-century French furniture.

The front is fitted with five drawers: a wide central drawer flanked by two side pedestals, each containing one small and one large drawer. The drawer fronts are moulded and carved with shaped reserves, adorned with bronze handles and escutcheons. The sides, fully finished, are decorated with moulded and carved panels, allowing the piece to be displayed freestanding in the centre of a room.

The desk rests on four elegant cabriole legs, richly carved with foliage and shell motifs, united by a finely worked apron. The large top surface offers an expansive work area and showcases the beautiful grain of the walnut.

The piece retains its original patina with a few discrete marks consistent with age and use, without detracting from its aesthetic appeal or structural integrity. The drawers slide smoothly and the piece is in good overall condition.
