This piece displays an architectural composition characteristic of late Renaissance furniture, with its powerful fluted pilasters, raised and moulded panel surrounds, and abundant carved decoration.

The cornice is adorned with three finely carved winged angel heads framing the doors of the upper body.

The upper section opens to an interior formerly lined with marbled paper and features three small drawers across the front.

The lower section comprises two large drawers above a storage space enclosed by two doors.

The piece is distinguished by the quality of its walnut, its fine aged patina, and its harmonious proportions.

The deep mouldings, high-relief carvings, and robust construction bear witness to the craftsmanship of 17th-century French workshops.
