18th-century trumeau mirror

A very fine 18th-century two-part trumeau in lacquered and gilt wood. The piece is in its original condition with no restoration (a small area of paint loss on one figure is noted — please refer to the photographs). The maritime rescue scene is beautifully rendered, and the frame is entirely in gilt wood with olive branch motifs. An exceptional find for collectors who appreciate furniture in its original, untouched state.
