Empire-style display cabinet in mahogany and gilt bronze, black marble top – 19th century

Elegant Empire-style display cabinet in flame mahogany, opening via a glazed front door and fitted with glazed panels to the sides.

It is adorned with two detached columns to the front, crowned with chiselled and gilt bronze capitals, resting on bases likewise fitted with bronze mounts.

The straight cornice is surmounted by a veined black marble top.

The upper frieze features a gilt bronze decoration depicting a winged motif in the antique taste, typical of the Empire decorative repertoire.

The interior, entirely in mahogany, is fitted with three shelves offering an excellent display space for objets d'art, porcelain or collections.

By virtue of its harmonious proportions and the quality of its materials, this display cabinet is a refined decorative piece, equally well suited to a classical interior as to a more contemporary setting.
