Charming kidney-shaped sauteuse commode in precious woods with rich geometric marquetry throughout.

The serpentine front opens with two stacked drawers, each adorned with diamond-pattern marquetry panels, delicate escutcheons and drop handles in gilt bronze.

The canted uprights are embellished with chased and gilt bronze foliate drops.

The bowed sides are equally dressed with framed marquetry panels.

The whole rests on four cabriole legs terminating in bronze sabots.

The top is fitted with an elegant grey-veined pink marble slab, enclosed by a pierced brass gallery, lending refinement and a lightness of form to the overall silhouette.

The decorative scheme, inspired by Louis XV furniture, is enhanced by a fine harmony of fruitwoods and contrasting exotic veneers.
