Immense Decorative Plate in Longwy Enamelware – Maintenon Pattern

Superb decorative plate in enamelled faïence by Émaux de Longwy, produced in the art workshops of the celebrated Lorraine manufactory.

It features an elegant polychrome bouquet of flowers at the centre, surrounded by a rich floral garland heightened with gilding against a deep crackle-glazed burgundy red ground, characteristic of Longwy's productions.

The reverse bears the cachet "Émaux de Longwy France – Atelier d'Art", together with an original label reading: "Maintenon", a limited edition of 200 pieces, example no. 10.

The decoration is signed M. Chéron and the gilded highlights are signed.

This fine-quality piece unites the tradition of Longwy cloisonné enamels with a refined composition inspired by classic French floral decoration.
