Shop or collector's display vitrine, Napoléon III period / Louis XV style, dating from the late 19th century.

Walnut frame,
glazing on all four sides and the top,
green velvet-lined interior,
richly carved decoration at the corners and on the apron,
compact format designed to display jewellery, medals, minerals, religious objects or collections.
Small tabletop display vitrines first appeared in the late 18th century and became widespread throughout the 19th century.

Condition
Sound wood,
carving complete,
glass panes present,
original interior velvet with normal wear,
