PAIR OF NAPOLEON III STYLE BUFFETS

Pair of Napoléon III style buffets, featuring rich floral decoration with gilt highlights on a black lacquer ground, carried across the fronts, sides and tops. Each piece opens with two shaped doors following the contours of the façade, revealing an interior fitted with two shelves. Two drawers open at frieze level. The top surround is finished in a marble imitation. These buffets stand on boulle-style feet with gilt highlights, terminating in toupie feet. Work from the 1960s.
