Description
Silver plate tea and coffee service by Christofle, collection Gallia.
Comprising four pieces, all hallmarked, on a silver plate tray (the tray is not Christofle).
The service, named "Mercury" was created by Lino Sabattini (1925-2016)and was chosen by the French President George Pompidou in 1970 for his personal plane.
It was also used in the First Class of Air France.
The coffee pot has a small dent which has been repaired but nonetheless has left a very small mark invisible on the photos.
