Large music box under a globe (blown glass) used to protect birds stuffed on flowering branches; all carried by a basin on its pedestal. It is decorated with gilded copper (or bronze) motifs. Empire. Period mid-19th century. The base is made of elm burl wood containing a musical mechanism (original, in working order). Mechanical movement with manual winding (key). Rare for its size and condition.
