This pair of "sculptures" lamp has two children riding a cricket for boys and a lobster for the girl.
These sculptures ormolu and patinated bronze on marble base cherry-red are the work of Charles Georges FERVILLE-SUAN (1847-1925) who was a student of Fine Arts in Paris in the studio of sculptor François Jouffroy. Member of the French Society of Artists, he exhibited regularly at the Salon from 1872 to 1909.
