RARE!!!!
Small bonheur du jour support cabinet in mahogany with ebony stringing, the lower section interior in satinwood, Charles X period, circa 1820.
The upper section features a shelf mounted on mahogany cross-stretchers and fitted with a mahogany gallery (with losses, see photos).
Below, a false drawer opens to reveal a fall-front writing surface with its original gilt-tooled leather, concealing three small drawers.
The lower section has two doors opening onto a satinwood interior fitted with two shelves.
Functioning locks and key.
This piece has the distinctive feature of being mounted on four original bronze casters.
