Large bergère in moulded and carved wood with floral decoration, raised on cabriole legs. Stamped by Sulpice Brizard, Parisian ébéniste born in 1735, received as Master on 13 February 1762. He worked from his workshop on the rue de Cléry in Paris and was one of the suppliers to the Crown, particularly renowned as a specialist in the making of seat furniture. This bergère has been restored; the cabinetwork is in very good condition, and the silk upholstery is in as-new condition.
