Rare Bronze Triptych Mirror – 1900

A superb bronze triptych mirror, remarkable for its refined decoration and the elegance of its composition. The three hinged mirrors are framed by finely chiselled mounts featuring a continuous foliate frieze, underscoring the delicacy of the piece.
When folded, the mirror reveals a wooden panel painted with a bouquet of flowers, executed in a soft palette, adding a luminous pictorial touch to the object. The whole rests on a bronze base in the form of stylised chimeras, with dynamic, sculptural lines that lend the mirror a singular, almost mythological presence. The feet pivot to save space when storing.
