Vercingétorix, signed bronze by DEBUT

Vercingétorix, bronze sculpture with brown patina, signed on the base DEBUT, with a plaque on the plinth: Salon des Beaux-Arts by DEBUT (Prix de Rome).

Marcel Debut was born on 27 March 1865 in the 11th arrondissement of Paris and died on 28 July 1933 in Le Vaudreuil. He was a French sculptor and painter.
He trained at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts.
In 1885 he received an honourable mention at the Salon des Artistes Français, of which he was a member.
