Antique Norman wedding cabinet in carved, painted and patinated oak; 19th century around 1840
Very well crafted cabinet:
The cornice carved with a heart stripe and a Louis XVI ribbon;
The high crosspiece, a basketwork filled with flowers and fruits, note the grapes overflowing from the basket, on each side a garland of oak foliage;
In the upper part of the doors, a thick bouquet of flowers
In the middle of the doors, musical instruments, scores, foliage
The uprights and the frame are also carved, an acanthus leaf at the top (under the central basket)
Currently an original shelf with 2 drawers; 2 other shelves will be installed, the useful depth of 49cm can allow this cabinet to be used as a wardrobe or cloakroom
