A professional French varnish sas applied on the outside and a restoration done by a cabinetmaker.
The box is made of solid rosewood with brass. Internally, the case is entirely made of mahogany.

Beautiful exterior aspect despite its age. A red leather with gilt edging gives a very nice finish.
