Louis XV, Louis XVI Transition Commode - Geometric Marquetry - 19th - Rosewood

Louis XV, Louis XVI transition style chest of drawers from the end of the 19th century. This so-called projection chest of drawers is mainly made of rosewood and rosewood to provide contrast in colors. It has a magnificent geometric marquetry (wood curling). The feet of this chest of drawers are arched, typical of the Louis XV style, while its body is straighter, typical of the Louis XVI style. The stimulating fluted uprights form a beautiful harmony with the marquetry of this dresser. The nicely chiseled bronzes blend elegantly with the sober workmanship of this chest of drawers. Finally, a magnificent gray marble grained with white with a projection and a groove is placed on this chest of drawers.
