Louis XV, Louis XVI Transition Commode - Cubic Marquetry - 18th - Rosewood, Rosewood

Magnificent Louis XV, Louis XVI transitional chest of drawers of very good quality. This chest of drawers is a work of the second half of the 18th century in rosewood, palisander and amaranth. It presents a marquetry of cubes of high rank worthy of a master cabinetmaker of the time. Its proportions are pleasant and allow it to be easily placed in a living room, hallway or bedroom. The slightly arched feet, reminiscent of Louis XV furniture, support a body with straight lines anticipating the arrival of the Louis XVI style. The same goes for the Greeks on the drawers and the bronzes. In addition, the hooves of this dresser are original and very beautifully made. The work on the drawers is typical of the 18th century. Finally, the top is dressed with a top of red Pyrenean marble decorated with a beautiful throat. This marble has undergone a restoration, made up.
