Louis XVI Secretary Inlaid - XVIII

Louis XVI Secretary inlaid Rosewood and Rosewood on three of its faces, with its red marble top Morello cherry molded in throat.
It opens with a drawer in the upper part locking and decorated with two round handles in wreaths.
Below, it opens with a flap locked and inlaid butterfly wing, framed by stained wood. It opens on a tabernacle composed of three high niches and two trios of drawers distributed on both sides of a central niche. The interior of the seat is covered with red burgundy leather redone and adorned with frieze and gilded motifs.
The lower part of the secretary opens with two doors also locking and giving access to a shelf and two niches below.
It rests on 4 straight feet cut out.
Period: XVIIIth.

Perfect condition after restoration, stripping and varnished finish on hard bottom and waxed in our workshop.
